Google AdsProposed workflow

Brief a practice-area landing page for Google Ads

Match one ad group to an approved service, jurisdiction and contact page before drafting changes.

Tools for the documented steps

These tools support separate parts of the method. The prompt does not connect them or verify a native integration.

Practice relevance

Cross-practice idea · A general marketing review method. Select only practice areas and jurisdictions approved by the firm.

Scope: Use only firm-approved jurisdictions; Australian privacy review is included

The problem

Match one ad group to an approved service, jurisdiction and contact page before drafting changes.

Why it matters: A checked brief gives the firm a clear next action while keeping legal accuracy, privacy and publication under human review.

Sources & evidence

Original editorial workflow / not tested. Official documentation supports separate features only.

What’s been verified

No client result, live account test or end-to-end execution is claimed. Worksheets and examples are original, synthetic review aids.

What to measure: Record confirmed review findings and unresolved blockers. After a separately approved pilot, compare qualified enquiries; record small-sample and attribution limits. No ranking, conversion or revenue result is promised.

Why this task is included

These sources support a recurring need or broader activity. They do not establish the popularity or results of this exact workflow.

Source checked: October 16, 2026. Independently authored from official public documentation and firm review needs. No paid third-party SOP text is reproduced. Demand supports the broader activity; this precise recipe is an editorial proposal. We wrote these prompts. The adapted workflow hasn’t been tested.

How this workflow works

Start when: The marketing owner has approved one topic and a review scope.

  1. Choose one ad group
  2. Check the approved service
  3. Compare the destination page
  4. Draft one change brief
  5. Review legal and privacy limits
  6. Plan a separate small test

Limits and review

Draft and review only. No account connection, list upload, publication, campaign launch, budget change or message send is included. Do not infer client permission or legal applicability.

Who reviews it: A lawyer checks current law, jurisdiction, claims and consultation terms. The marketing owner approves the separate publication or send. The privacy owner checks data use.

Before you start

  • Use only accounts and tools your firm has already approved.
  • Choose a lawyer and a marketing owner to review the draft.
  • Use public approved material and made-up examples first.
  • Keep client records, recipient lists and credentials out of AI prompts.
  • Check the applicable jurisdiction and advertising rules with your lawyer.
  • Stop before account connections, publication, campaign changes or sending.

Use made-up sample data first. These guides describe documented features. We have not tested the full workflows.

Short instructions use ASD-STE100 writing principles. These guides are STE-inspired, not certified STE. Exact prompts and technical names stay unchanged.

Read each action in order. A path such as Home > Reports means open Home, then Reports. If a named control is missing, stop. Check the linked product instructions or ask your administrator.

What the technical words mean
AI
Artificial intelligence. It can produce incorrect answers. A person must check its work.
Prompt
The instructions you paste into an AI chat box.

A feature or format provided by the named tool.
Source ID / alias
A reference used to find an original record / a replacement label. Neither makes private information anonymous.
Scope / coverage
The records and dates included / whether all required records were included.

Secret access information. Do not paste it into prompts or share it with an AI tool.
OAuth / connection
Permission for one tool to access another account. Ask your authorized administrator before you approve it.
Read-only / draft-only
View without changing records / prepare text without sending, publishing or filing it.
Review gate
A point where an authorized person must check the work before you continue.

What you’ll get

A draft brief, source register and completed review checklist; no live campaign.

Inputs and a sample test Synthetic example · not a measured result

Input files

  • ad-page-map.csv: row_id,campaign,ad_group,ad_text,keyword_theme,final_url,captured_date,page_section,observed_text,mismatch_or_question,source_ref

Synthetic example

See the separately labelled synthetic example in the starter kit. It uses no client records.

Expected output

A missing source or approval remains a blocker, not an invented fact.

Test a failure

Remove a jurisdiction approval or source date. The reviewer must stop the affected claim.

Try with the sample files

Follow the tool steps above and use the inputs named in each step. Files named native-* are blank templates. NATIVE-INPUT-MAPPING explains how to fill their fields. The original examples use a different data structure. Do not mix these files unless the mapping instructions say how. Downloading files does not connect accounts. It does not prove that the workflow works.

Download inputs and checklist 8 files

Instructions, blank templates and separate synthetic examples; these files do not install an automation. Blank templates still need verified source data.
