Test an engagement-letter template before reuse
Proposed editorial adaptation; not tested in Clio or end to end. All samples are fictional.
1. Start with fictional-document-fixture.txt and synthetic-field-dictionary.csv. Their labels are NOT Clio tags.
2. Compare synthetic-field-map.csv with the fixture. Use blank field-map.csv for your approved deidentified master.
3. Read synthetic-cases.csv and acceptance-tests.csv. Expected answers are prefilled; actual values are blank and status is NOT RUN.
4. Compare deliberately-faulty-output-C01.txt against the C01 expectations. Check expected-answers.txt afterward.
5. Have the template owner use an existing authorised test process for all five cases. Do not create access or sync live matter data.
6. Fill actual values, status and evidence only after inspecting an output. Use issues.csv for failures and unresolved questions.
7. Use prompt.txt only with approved synthetic/deidentified inputs, or do the review manually.
8. Hand the complete record to the template owner and supervising lawyer using review-checklist.txt.
The kit contains no engagement terms and cannot establish legal validity or approve a live document.
Clio Draft differs from migrated Clio for Word. In existing Draft Word access: Home > Clio Draft Template Builder > menu > Templates.
If that route is unavailable, consult current official documentation and your administrator. Do not substitute Grow instructions.
Manage-to-Draft Continue may sync matter data. This exercise does not authorise that sync.

For existing approved test access: Clio Draft > Library > Word templates > authorised test copy > start drafting. Use only an existing approved synthetic matter; record creation needs separate approval. Generate, review and download through the approved process.
Saving an updated legacy template replaces its library version; do not save during inspection. Inspect Fields cards, date formats and conditions. Draft-only testing does not validate production Manage mappings.
